So the end is near. I have mixed feelings because of the friends and the accomplishments that I have made during the past year. I will not miss the work load, but the friends and colleagues that I have made to process my profession to be a better person and teacher. Looking back to realize all that I have learned in technology in the this past year is nothing that I could have imagined.
My favorite parts were learning so many digital tools, compiling a list of resources to use in my classroom and share tips and tricks on how to use them. There is nothing like having a community of like-minded people that love doing what you enjoy doing and learning it together. It has not been an easy path with three sons in elementary school, but this is who I did this for, my sons. I wanted to set and example for them to see what happens when you are dedicated and work hard. Through this year I have worked, coached soccer, got a divorced, survived my kids through 10 sports teams, changed jobs, move grade levels and moved classrooms. My year has in no way been easy or stress-less, but I DID IT! And if I can do this, I can do anything. I look forward to testing and exploring all that I have learned into my new grade and share all that I have learned with my new staff. My next steps will be making decisions about what I will do with all of the time on my hands without 8-12 hours a week of homework and class time. I look forward to exploring where I can go in my next adventure.

The universal values of commitment to social justice, intellectual pursuit, and service to humanity are shared by the Jewish college of Touro University and Innovative Educational program of Cohort 16. Both philosophies value: Respect for the inherent value and dignity of each individual, intellectual inquiry, discovery, and passion for life-long learning, acceptance and appreciation of diversity, compassion and service to society, student-centered education, collaboration and sense of community, promotion of inter-professionalism. Respect for Individuals: Innovative Ed. has instilled and promoted being respectful in all learning environments. It has kept me open-minded to my own workplaces to consider that all walks of life are coming as colleagues, students, and parents. Intellectual Inquiry, Discovery, Passion for Learning among Diversity: Students in our cohort, not only came from different ethnicities, but from all walks of educational teaching experiences and learning knowledge. Learning from others really can teach from various points of view that have not been thought of looking through the same lenses all of the time. Change is good for learning and growing and another concept that I was to instill in my students by trying new things and coming out of their comfort range for more growth. When growing it always helps to have a buddy as a soundboard to encourage you. Collaboration & Community of Professionalism: Not only do I hope to instill these learning traits into my Cohort 16 learning and students, but also my professionals at my site and past co-workers to inspire and influence growth. I have already told my new principal that I would present at a staff meeting to share the knowledge that I have learned from a conference that I attended over the summer. I am excited to share with like-minded professionals that want to learn more technology and grow as a professional to encourage student growth. The more collaboration with teachers is that best way to learn and share ideas as professional educators.
